"The texture of my work is very fine, smooth and even. I build it up through several layers, which I apply gently and precisely until the surface achieves an even and deliberate finish. The humidity, the type of pigments used and the way I roll the paint onto the canvas are crucial to achieving this quality. Small variations in these elements can completely change the surface, so working with them becomes a concentrated and almost meditative part of the process."
