Painting Citron from Paper Collective

Citron (The Lemon) by Québec-based artist Philippe Lareau explores simple scenes and motifs to create a dialog between the viewer and his artwork. Placed on a deep yellow table, a stylized lemon and an organically shaped black spoon form a striking composition that celebrates color and form. A single shadow creates depth within the work and allows the objects to become the heroes of this still life.
