The rug is completely handmade and the special technique of hand tufting in different directions creates a three-dimensional impression. The use of threads in minimally different shades also adds a slight sheen. Finally, 'Carpet' is carefully cut into a graphic tromp l'oeil pattern, which is especially enhanced around the overlapping edges.
