Klio' appears contemporary and archetypal at the same time. The symbiosis of traditional craftsmanship and state-of-the-art manufacturing technology makes the sophisticated geometry of the heavy wooden chair possible.
The back, which merges into the armrest, is bent from a 13.8 kilo piece of steamed wood on a machine specially constructed to the specifications of 'Horgenglarus'. After three weeks in the drying chamber, the backrest is milled into shape using the latest technology and then finely sanded by hand.
The refined curved backrest contrasts with the body with its precise edges.
The characterful 'Klio' brings a piece of poetry to the clear world of 'Horgenglarus' and combines round, organic shapes with angular, straight lines.
