What is this likeable new roommate? It is called 'Evo-C' and comes from the pen of the designer Jasper Morrison.
With this piece of seating furniture, he has succeeded in uncompromisingly translating the principle and features of the classic cantilever chair into plastic.
Here, Morrison has left out everything that is not necessary: the shape of 'Evo-C', made entirely of 100% recyclable polypropylene, follows the necessities that are indispensable for stability and comfort and combines the springy properties of tubular steel with the comfort of an ergonomic shell chair.
The unity of the material gives 'Evo-C' formal clarity. Its silhouette is so graceful that it virtually disappears beneath the person sitting on it. And unused, the chair looks like a two-legged sculpture growing out of the ground.
