Eames Fiberglass Armchair RAR

The shell chairs by Charles and Ray Eames are among the most important furniture designs in design history. The first serially produced plastic chairs in the history of furniture are a revolutionary design, with which Charles and Ray Eames founded the still widely used furniture type of the multifunctional chair, whose shell can be combined with various bases.

From the large family of chairs, one model has always stood out in particular: the Rocking Armchair Rod Base (RAR). Despite its compact dimensions, this rocking chair offers pleasant comfort even for tall people.

In this version, the seat shell is made of fibreglass, which has a typical and appreciated lively look. The irregular surface almost looks like a natural material thanks to the clearly visible fibres. This is also the reason why there is no upholstery for this chair.

Bring this iconic classic home. You and generations to come will love it!
