Sofa by Walter Gropius

The sofa counterpart to the armchair 'F51'.

The armchair with the cryptic name 'F51' is actually also called Gropius armchair. It was designed and manufactured by the founding father of the Bauhaus himself for the director's room at the Bauhaus Weimar. I don't have to tell that to one or two design aficionados anymore.

The striking cubic design of the armchair is also reflected in the sofa, which has long since established this design piece as an icon. The strict line of the furniture does not detract from its comfort, which is why it is a good place to linger. Perfect for my living room.

The interplay between fabric colour and wood can be tried out in many different ways with the sofa, which is why the furniture can be elegant and restrained as well as almost playful and colourful.

Today, the Gropius sofa is managed by Tecta and is still produced according to the original design. A valuable piece that will fascinate future generations.
