Fagus-Werk Sofa by Gropius

One of the great figures of the Bauhaus was Walter Gropius. Together with big names like Mies van der Rohe or Le Corbusier, he was the co-founder of modern architecture and 'inventor of the rules'. A multitude of world-famous designs originated from his pen.

Like the D51 sofa, which Gropius designed for the vestibule of the Fagus factory to receive waiting customers. It is a piece of seating furniture with clear lines, a wooden structure made of solid ash and a flat cushion. A real design piece with cult, character and history.

Ideal for the study, the spacious entrance hall, the dressing room or even the living room for a touch of modern salon ambience.

The D51 sofa is manufactured today by the Tecta company and is still produced according to the original design by Mr Gropius. A valuable piece that will fascinate generations to come.
