Mariposa is the Spanish word for butterfly. In fact, the sides of the 'Vitra' sofa of the same name are reminiscent of butterfly wings.
The seating furniture owes its extraordinary comfort to a continuous, pleasantly soft upholstery and the ingenious adjustment mechanism of the arm and backrests: These can be moved continuously through about 30°. This functionality is not visible from the outside of the elegant furniture, which I particularly like. Equally ingenious: The resistance is set in such a way that the backrests cannot be adjusted with normal leaning, but can be moved to the desired inclination with intentionally higher pressure. This flexibility allows you to find the most comfortable position for you.
