The glass shelf

Glass, one thinks, is not the strongest of all materials. When you look at Shiro Kuramata's fabulous design, however, you will change this opinion quite quickly, I am quite sure of that.

Each individual part consists of 12mm thick, thermowelded clear glass. And it can take a lot! Unbelievable how light and delicate this shelf looks, and how fascinating it is in its appearance.

In here you can present the fine porcelain that you usually only bring out on noble occasions, or simply show and supply your books and other favourite objects.

Care must be taken during installation. Once set up, however, you will be amazed at how much this piece of furniture can carry - not to mention how extraordinary and beautiful it is.
