It was only recently that I sat on this favourite piece for the very first time. And I can assure you, this graphic beauty is quite comfortable.
The reduced design by Herbert Hirche refers in particular to the Bauhaus tradition, where the architect and designer learned from none other than Ludwig Mies van der Rohe from 1930 to 1933. The Lounge Chair was created as early as 1953 during his time as professor at the Academy of Arts in Stuttgart, but never went beyond the prototype.
In 2000, the manufacturer Richard Lampert recovered the treasure on the occasion of Professor Hirche's 90th birthday. Since then, the armchair has been available with different fabric covers and also in a version with fur or leather. You can find both variants here with me.
Despite its low seat height, it sits quite upright on the armchair. You can really get flencing in combination with the stool, which I would like to recommend to you very much. Due to its permeable design, this lounger is perfect for small space requirements.
