The Tres Vegetal rug is an Indian flat woven dhurrie rug. Its unique feature lies in the creation of three independent pieces in which different fibers predominate. The proportion and combination of wool, felt and cotton create tonal variations and irregularities in the weave, bringing the pattern to life.
Unlike the Tres model, the 'Tres Vegetal' is made mainly of hemp, in addition to New Zealand wool and wool felt. Hence the name.
I especially like the fringes along the long edge. It is only through them that the three-part nature of the whole becomes visible again. Because joined together the carpet has almost invisible transitions.
