Hello, Tüpfli! Oh, I'm quite torn about the great carpet Semis, which I spied brand new at 'Kvadrat'. Apart from the different sized dots, I was of course taken with this great shape, which has recently adorned my living room floor.
The production of 'Semis' from handspun Tibetan wool is time-consuming, because the fine - but remarkably strong - Tibetan knotting technique is used.
The deliberately irregularly cut edges create a beautiful irregular surface with a handmade touch.
For designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, the following aspects give each 'Semis' a very personal touch: the shape of the dots, the processing and the fact that each carpet is made by several weavers.
