Kaari' is the result of the first collaboration between the Finnish label Artek and the French designers and brothers Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec. And I have to say, I'm quite fascinated by the convertible wall shelves that came out of this work.
The shelf is perfect for books. But also for your trouvailles, which you would like to present in the best possible light.
The principle of the 'Kaari' shelves is essentially based on curved steel strips and solid oak slats. The shelves, which have a black melamine surface, rest on and against these.
By the way, the term Kaari means bow in Finnish, which probably refers to the steel bands.
