The Danish design studio Woud offers Scandinavian minimalism in a particularly elegant guise. Carefully selected colors, textiles and materials result in timeless and durable products that lose nothing of their aesthetics and functionality even decades later.
I particularly like the designers' 'Pump' pendant light. It was designed by Kutarq Studio for Woud and is inspired by the characteristic shape and function of hot air balloons. The idea was to design a luminaire that would stand out from the ground.
They succeeded because the pendant luminaire with its soft opal glass, which contrasts with the simple round metal ring, expresses a complete simplicity, as if it were floating in the air.
The frosted glass creates a very pleasant, atmospheric light and is therefore particularly suitable above the dining table or in a cozy corner of a room in your home where you want maximum comfort.
