Floor lamp with direct and indirect light emission and symmetrical and asymmetrical light distribution. With two vertical wings made of ash wood, connected by chrome-plated metal fittings. The wings rotate around a central, tubular light source, enabling variable light distribution. The raw black iron base is separated from the vertical wings by a collar. Specially developed, dimmable linear LED light source. The luminaire can also be fitted with standard T8 LED tubes. Designed by Tobia Scarpa in 1963 and reissued in 2025, Seki-Han is a testament to his mastery of design and craftsmanship in woodworking. The complex construction draws on techniques from shipbuilding to form two wooden slats that now rotate around the light source. Even when they are almost completely closed, a strip of light remains visible, creating an extremely poetic effect. Named after a traditional Japanese rice dish served on special occasions, Seki-Han is a living presence in which the immateriality of light meets the tactility of wood.
