The HJW02 Opala Midi table lamp was designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1973 as part of a larger series of lamps for the Hotel Scandinavia in Copenhagen. The series has an unmistakable, almost futuristic expression with slightly inclined lampshades and straight lines. The Opala table lamp has an asymmetrical shade made of opal acrylic with a lacquered aluminum plate, which emits a pleasant, concentrated light and at the same time gently illuminates the surrounding space through the lampshade. It is suitable for both the office and the living area.
