This is how I imagine the scene in which the Kaiser Idell Luxus table lamp perfectly mastered its role as an extra. After all, she is already an old hand in business and has been shining on desks and in living rooms since 1931.

It was designed by silversmith and Bauhaus master Christian Dell and is regarded as one of the great Bauhaus lighting designs that shaped many subsequent generations.

Characteristic of the luminaire is its curved shape, which gives the design something warm despite the cool materials. Then as now, it is a cult object that combines high quality and precise technology.
