Early Läck Friday 🖤
Parentesi in Italian means 'bracket' or 'clamp' and describes the name as well as the principle of the ceiling spotlight of 'Flos'. A chic steel cable 'clamped' between ceiling and floor, i.e. stretched to full room height, allows the height of a steel tube to which the luminaire unit is attached to be adjusted. The actual lamp is a beautifully designed black spotlight that delivers a lot of direct light where it's needed.
The design of this cool light source, which fits perfectly in the studio as well as next to my sofa, comes from the designers Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù. It's from 1970! The innovative mixture of pendant and floor lamp was even awarded the coveted prize 'Compasso d´Oro'. A classic for connoisseurs!
