Lamp Here comes the sun black

French architect Bertrand Balas created the Here comes the sun lamp in August 1969, and since its introduction in 1970 it has become a popular collector's item.

At first glance, this lamp looks like any other round lamp. It is only when the light is switched on that 'Here comes the sun' shows its magical side. Depending on the mood, the sun rises or sets or the moon shines sweetly.

Incidentally, there's a nice story behind the lamp's poetic name: Bertrand Balas had the Beatles song of the same name in mind when he was thinking of the name. The song was written at exactly the same time as the lamp: George Harrison wrote it in April 1969 in Eric Clapton's garden. After a long winter, he found inspiration in the first warm day of spring, in the melting ice and the still tentative rays of the sun.

So song and lamp saw the light of day at the same time. If that's not nice.
