Bulb by Ingo Maurer

Yes, even light bulbs can be designed!

This one, for example, has the simple name Bulb and was designed by Ingo Maurer. The design clearly shows the birth of the sixties. I am particularly enthusiastic about the oversize and the fact that the 'Bulb' combines object and function. Basically, it is simply an oversized light bulb that is a table lamp.

By the way, the congenial design from 1966 was already included in the permanent design collection of the MoMA in New York in 1969.

This table lamp makes quite a statement. And not only on a desk, but also on a shelf, on a sideboard or on a window sill.
