Alex Gabriels' ceramic objects combine a clear design language with an earthy feel. For her new collection, she was inspired by cylinder and disk shapes. The result is a series of five ceramic lamps called NASH, MAIA, RANA, NOVA, ROMÉ and FOU, which are reminiscent of icons of modernist architecture.
The luminaires allow the light to shine through in a particularly subtle way and at the same time cast a soft sideways light onto the coarse fireclay, emphasizing the beautiful structure of the ceramic.
