Light has the special ability to shape a space long before we consciously perceive it. When it is right, everything else seems to fall into place by itself. Designed by Note, Persimon begins with a close observation of the persimmon fruit - how its inner segments form a structure that is both precise and soft. This became the starting point for a material study: how far can glass be developed towards an almost textile character? How thin can it be and still retain its shape? The answer lies in the shade. Finely balanced and carefully shaped, the light reveals both the fragility and the strength of the material. A quiet exercise in restraint, characterized by careful craftsmanship.
Persimon has an independent presence and yet remains restrained. Its proportions and monochrome design allow it to blend effortlessly into different environments, lending them character without forcing itself into the foreground. Even when switched off, the luminaire contributes to the atmosphere of the room.
