The HJW03 Opala Midi floor lamp was designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1973 as part of a larger series of lamps for the Hotel Scandinavia in Copenhagen. The series has an unmistakable, almost futuristic expression with slightly inclined lampshades and straight lines. Opala floor lamp has an asymmetrical shade made of opal acrylic with a lacquered aluminum plate, which emits a pleasant, concentrated light and at the same time gently illuminates the surrounding space through the lampshade.
