Light often shapes a room long before we consciously notice it. When it is right, everything else seems to fall into place by itself. Designed by Note, Persimon begins with a close observation of the persimmon fruit - how its inner segments form a structure that is both precise and soft. This formed the starting point for a material study: how far can glass be shaped into an almost textile character? How thin can it be and still retain its shape? The answer lies in the shade. Finely balanced, carefully shaped light reveals both the fragility and the strength of the material. A quiet exercise in restraint, guided by precision craftsmanship.
Persimon has a presence of its own, yet remains restrained. Its proportions and monochrome design make it easy to integrate into different environments, giving the luminaire character without drawing attention to itself. Even when switched off, it contributes to the atmosphere of the room.
