Knitterling by Ingo Maurer combines the traditional shape of a lampshade with translucent Japanese paper. Knitterling is an extremely sustainable product thanks to the minimal use of materials, paper and bent metal wires.
The lampshades are handmade in Munich. The shade is slightly crumpled as a deliberate design element. In contrast to Knitterling version I, version II also has a paper cover on the underside. There is a round opening in the middle. The paper lamp is not suitable for rooms with high humidity.
