A block of ice and a light bulb. Not exactly the most common combination, right? But a pretty fascinating one...
The idea for the small Block light was born in a workshop at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki. The students were given the task of designing a gift for a wedding. For this, the designer wanted to cast a simple shape in glass, so to speak, to wrap it in glass.
The result was the extraordinary lamp with object character called 'Block'.
