While in conventional lampshades the diffuser encloses the light source inside, in this family of lamps the diffuser is paradoxically and impressively empty, and the lighting effect is created by two illuminated discs within a central metal band visible on the lampshade, reminiscent of the equator Suspended lamp with dimmable, diffuse light generated by LEDs inserted in two overlapping polycarbonate discs.
