Once upon a time, a Danish mother wanted a more comfortable environment to interact with her baby boy during tummy time. However, she found that the bed was too soft and the floor too hard, and there was something not quite right with all the surfaces she tried. No suitable surface was comfortable enough for her and her baby to lie on.

Finally, she decided to design her own play mat, which not only solved her problem, but also helped her son's motor development and strengthened the bond between them. The play mat became so popular with her friends and family that she was soon making replicas of the design.
