Under this blanket are two designers that probably no one would have suspected: Nathalie du Pasquier and George Sowden.
Both are two internationally recognized designers who first came to public attention with the founding of the Memphis Movement and forever changed the meaning of design with the first exhibition in Milan in September 1981. Their work was fundamental to the renewal of interest in decoration, and their designs have become iconic documentation of change from the early 1980s to the present day.
This collaboration has given rise, among other things, to the Air blanket, in a super-reduced pattern that for once exudes little folkloric, but a great deal of graphic.
