'Sofie' is a charming wicker chair in Danish design. The chair is part of the 'Affäire' collection by 'Sika-Design', which is a unique selection of charming bistro and café furniture inspired by the in-house designs from the 1950s and the charming café chairs you see everywhere in Paris.
The chairs are handmade by expert basket makers from sustainable Indonesian rattan. For this, the fantastic 'ArtFibre' is used, which is available in a larger selection of colors that can be put together in countless combinations.
'ArtFibre' are synthetic fibers made of maintenance-free polyethylene that can withstand the sun's UV rays. The combination of rattan and 'ArtFibre' gives the wicker furniture a unique strength, flexibility and comfort.
'Sika-Design' uses carefully selected rattan for furniture production to ensure the highest quality. Rattan is often compared to bamboo, but unlike bamboo, which is hollow, rattan is a solid material and therefore remarkably strong and indestructible, making a unique piece of furniture available that will last generations.
'Sofie' is designed for brasseries, cafes and restaurants, but is also suitable for ordinary households. The chair is designed for indoor use, but can be used outdoors in covered areas.
