One of my favourite addresses for Danish furniture design 'Carl Hansen & Søn' has found a real treasure in his design trove. Once developed for his private balcony in the 1960s, this furniture series by Børge Mogensen is back in the Danish range this year.
The 'Footstool' is the smallest of the collection. With its folding function and the weatherproof Sunbrella fabric, it is inviting and flexible but also simple and honest. So to speak the magic formula for good outdoor design.
As a footrest, it can be beautifully placed with the couch of the series, but as is usual for such a small piece of furniture, it can also easily be used as a stool or with the matching tray as a mini side table.
And should the sun stay hidden for a longer period of time, the stool can simply be folded up, put aside or even hung decoratively on the wall.
