The elliptical table belongs to the inventory of Mooris himself.
The furniture owes its name 'Super Elliptical' not only to its obviously elliptical shape, but also to Stockholm's traffic routing. The mathematically clever solution, which was implemented there at the Sergels-Torg gyroscope, inspired the designer Piet Hein to create this extraordinary tabletop. Because a superellipse is, so to speak, a middle thing between ellipse and rectangle, which results in this perfectly geometric but also organic form.
Together with the filigree, chrome-plated steel structure, this results in this wonderfully Nordic purist table.
In different sizes you can use it both as a dining table and as a desk. Here you can find the white laminated version of the 'Super Elliptical'. But today I also have a model in wood for you.
In the Mooris studio this great piece stands as a meeting table. You are welcome to visit him and see for yourself.
