The inspiration behind the Cirque lamp is as fantastic as its appearance. The briefing for the cute light source took place in Tivoli, the famous amusement park in Copenhagen.
Cirque' is a play between colours and shapes, inspired by balloons, carousels, colours and light. The idea for the colour rows comes from the observation of colours in circular movements, where they are perceived as continuous lines.
The unusual shape of the pendant light is inspired by the well-known onion-shaped domes on several buildings in the Tivoli Gardens.
I really like the small lamp in particular. It almost looks a bit like a colourful spinning top hanging from the ceiling.
