Especially when metal comes into play, the past century knows hardly any other designer who has created such unique furniture with the precise engineering hand. Of course, the famous institution Vitra, which still produces many Prouvé designs to this day with the highest standards of quality and workmanship, knows this too.
With the 'EM Table' you can wonderfully recognize the handwriting of the engineer. Characterised by the construction, the table's aesthetics wonderfully show the course of forces and the static relationships, which are particularly noticeable in the leg structure. This results in a unique coexistence between the restrained table top and the base frame.
The table top is available here in oiled oak in different sizes. If you prefer a different wood, then simply contact me. I especially like the oak in combination with the dull red tone, which so wonderfully takes up the industrial character.
