Because of its cheerful, strong colours and the pleasantly soft curves, the 'big' Panton Chair from 'Vitra' has always won over children's hearts. This both as seating furniture and as toys.
The designer Verner Panton himself therefore pursued the idea of creating a children's version of the chair together with 'Vitra' at an early stage. This project, which failed more than 35 years ago for economic reasons, has now been realised.
Based on Panton's original plans, the 'Vitra Panton Junior' was created. In terms of material and unchanged in its proportions, it is about a quarter smaller than the regular model. This makes the chair, which is available in seven colour variants, a high-quality, much-loved seat for children of kindergarten and primary school age.
My favourites are clearly the sugar-sweet rosé and the fresh lime green. As a duo, they also do wonderfully well in the children's room. And also in the living room, when they are carried around the whole apartment.
Fortunately, I can simply wipe the design chairs with soul with a damp cloth again, when the kids have smeared the ice-cream with the berries like today...
