This pillowcase was created literally from rain. And also with the help of Aliki van der Kruijs.
Rain is deeply rooted in Dutch culture. Performance artist Aliki van der Kruijs has thought about how to capture the feeling of raindrops falling in your face and transfer it to textiles. This resulted in an almost scientific data collection of meteorological facts. The artist captured various weather conditions by laying out pre-treated, water-sensitive textiles in nature. The result was visual images of various rainy weather conditions: from drizzle and driving rain to continuous rain.
ZigZagZurich' banned them on bed linen made of pure cotton satin. The cushion cover is closed at the bottom with a zipper and is made in Italy. And what makes for particularly quiet nights is that the bed linen is Ökotex 100 certified.
