Baking book Guetzle with Betty Bossi

In addition to the famous 'Tiptopf', you are sure to find one or two small spiral-bound Betty Bossi booklets in one household or another. The one with the sweet biscuits on it is my personal favorite.

The first Betty Bossi cookie book was a huge success. It had been sold out since 1993, but now this Betty Bossi classic is finally available again in a new edition. The well-known biscuit book from 1978 has been around for three generations. In addition to a wide range of Christmas classics, the book also contains quick and practical tin biscuits, which are still very popular today. Nussknusperli and Orangenschnittli, for example, are still at the top of the Swiss people's list of favorite biscuits.

Vanilla crescents, Florentines and brownies - none of these were known in Switzerland before the publication of the Guetzli book, but today they are among the classics of Swiss biscuit baking. Unbaked delicacies such as truffles and pralines can also be found in this book.

And let's not forget the delicious recipes for homemade aperitif cookies, which were very modern at the time but are now classics that simply go with a fine aperitif.
