I love the two new prints that I have chosen for you today. Frida Kahlo would have had a lot of fun with these colors and shapes, don't you think?
This illustration is titled Rama and was penned by Berenice Hérnandez.
Her colorful and graphic portfolio is inspired by a childhood in vibrant Mexico City and a career in art direction and graphic design. These two worlds come together to create a growing collection of motifs that combine hand and digital techniques.
During her childhood, Berenice lived in Monterrey near the American border. It was important to her to create a kind of sanctuary where she could reinterpret the shapes, textures and colors of her country: the old colonial buildings, the lush vegetation, the colors and textures of the fruits. All these shapes and textures are now part of her visual imagination.
