German artist and designer Aesthete's painting Little Pearl plays with fine lines and a muted color palette to create a work that is both calming and intriguing. A single string wraps around and over the central pearl, a line that feels like a journey from sea to jewel, highlighting the beauty of nature.
Aesthetic is the Hanover-based studio of artist and designer Anne Schäfer. Inspired by natural forms and contemporary art, Aesthetic creates compositions that are both minimal and expressive.
In addition to works on paper, the studio also experiments with clay, textiles, photography and etching with motifs that combine Schäfer's training in communication design with a practical approach to process and form.
