Hay's Connect bed is all about the name: it combines the idea of traditional craftsmanship with high-tech computerized tools and processes that have become commonplace in the world of today's designers to create a minimalist and industrial look.
The result is a razor-sharp, pinpoint bed that consists of just four elements: two side rails and two end rails that slot into each other and are fastened with eight screws. Embedded in the bare frame, the screws themselves become an interesting detail, with the joints showing echoes of traditional joinery.
