The Barcelona Day Bed is a great classic that I am proud to present to you today.
It was created in 1930, shortly after Mies van der Rohe presented his Barcelona Chairs in the Pavilion of the Weimar Republic for the Industrial Exhibition in Barcelona.
The Day Bed also has the same simple elegance as the iconic lounge chair of the same name. Mies van der Rohe's mastery of line and material in all media, from architecture to furniture, made him an emerging figure in the modernist movement.
With the Day Bed, the workmanship is particularly astonishing: 72 individual panels are cut by hand and fitted with leather and buttons.
A great classic that knows how to shine, especially in the living room.
