Side table Kaeko

The Kaeko coffee table by Rafic Farah, named after the designer's doctor and originally designed for her, has a flowing grace. Like a light brushstroke, the curved base of the table forms a continuous structure of either stainless steel or steel with black lacquer finish.

Dr. Kaeko is a tall woman, daughter of Japanese immigrants with straight black hair. She is elegant, optimistic, determined. The graphic structures of the objects designed for her are perhaps a reflection of her refined appearance like Chinese ink on rice paper'.

In addition to furniture design, the multi-talented Farah has worked as an architect, screenwriter, graphic designer and photographer. Since the 1980s he has been an important force in the Brazilian design scene.

Farah was responsible for the design of several company logos and helped design Trip magazine, one of Brazil's most popular magazines aimed at a young audience. Influenced by the tropical movement of the 1960s and 1970s, his work is characterized by a very strong Brazilian aesthetic.
