The 'pallet bed' is just such a thing, which I had to look for far too long. It should be a simple bed, for short visits as well as for permanent guests, because constantly offering only the mattress directly on the floor was no longer quite right for me.
The simple but timelessly beautiful sleeping accommodation was created in sustainable, social and environmentally friendly production, at the Bernese social enterprise Contact Arbeit, which uses Swiss solid wood to produce simple but refined objects and things for everyday use.
The practical pallet bed of finely sanded wood is also quite easy to assemble, has a good size and can also be pushed together with its peers, so that I can then provide the visitor a 140, 160 or even a 180 cm wide bed. Assembled in a good 5 minutes, I pack it away just as quickly when we need the space for extensive partying.
It's also great for the kids' room: A cool and extremely vivid sleeping opportunity for the offspring, as well as for all other aesthetes and hopeless practitioners.
