The sandwich futon is a 16 cm thick cotton mattress with a latex foam core and a coconut fiber top - a sophisticated combination that delivers medium-soft sleeping comfort the Japanese way. The targeted addition of 5-10% polyester ensures a higher density and more volume than a classic Japanese futon, without sacrificing its proven properties.
Each material takes on its own role: the cotton adapts to your body, the coconut fiber slab supports it and the soft latex core gently absorbs slight movements. The result is a balanced sleeping surface - neither too soft nor too firm, just right for those who sleep consciously. All Karup futons are handmade, which is why there may be slight variations in dimensions and weight.
