Following successful collaborations in the tableware and outdoor furniture sectors, Serax and Vincent Van Duysen are working together again - this time on a sofa collection that combines the DNA of both brands. "I found the idea of translating a custom-made product that I often use in my projects into a collection for the market exciting. That's how this series began to take shape."
The name Rudolph is derived from Rudolf Michael Schindler, a formative personality of American mid-century modernism. "I admire him very much. The mid-century style is a great source of inspiration for my work - think of the typical built-in benches in modern interiors. However, the main inspiration for this collection was the sofa in my house in Portugal - because of its proportions, lines and the calmness it radiates when you look at it or sit on it."
The Rudolph sofa is available as a free-standing version in two- to three-seater sizes and as a single armchair. The collection is complemented by side tables with wooden or marble tops and side and coffee tables that can be placed anywhere.
