The Danish designer Finn Juhl originally designed this chair for a carpenter in 1946 - hence the name. In 1953, Juhl modified the chair into a simpler, more aerodynamic version. It is this later version that is now being produced again.
In this version, Finn Juhl clearly tried to emphasize the lightness of the chair by separating the supported and load-bearing elements. Thanks to modern technology, the new version is produced in outstanding quality with stronger joints than the original from 1946.
The '46 Armchair' is made of oak or walnut and upholstered in leather in various colors. The armchair is a unique and meaningful piece and as such has a lot of history to tell.
